arXiv:cond-mat/9603081 · doi:10.1103/PhysRevLett.77.892

Abstract

Several thermodynamic quantities within the planar model are calculated using the Lanczos method on clusters of up to 26 sites. Hole density shows a non-Fermi liquid behavior as a function of and suggests a transition from small to large Fermi surface at . Specific heat reveals a maximum at the exchange energy-scale up to , where it becomes almost -independent for $T\agt 0.15~t$. At constant the entropy has maximum for , with large values at low , consistent with experiments on cuprates. In the underdoped regime the spin susceptibility exhibits a maximum at finite , with decreasing with doping, and disappearing for .
