Searches after Gravitational Waves Using ARizona Observatories (SAGUARO): Observations and Analysis from Advanced LIGO/Virgo's Third Observing Run
K. Paterson, M. J. Lundquist, J. C. Rastinejad +34
With the conclusion of the third observing run for Advanced LIGO/Virgo (O3), we present a detailed analysis of both triggered and serendipitous observations of 17 gravitational wav…
Identifying Candidate Optical Variables Using Gaia Data Release 2
Shion Andrew, Samuel J. Swihart, Jay Strader
Gaia is undertaking a deep synoptic survey of the Galaxy, but photometry from individual epochs has, as of yet, only been released for a minimal number of sources. We show that it…
Hubble Space Telescope Observations of Two Faint Dwarf Satellites of Nearby LMC Analogs from MADCASH
Jeffrey L. Carlin, Burcin Mutlu-Pakdil, Denija Crnojevic +11
We present a deep Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging study of two dwarf galaxies in the halos of Local Volume Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) analogs. These dwarfs were discovered a…
Eridanus II: A Fossil from Reionization with an Off-Center Star Cluster
Joshua D. Simon, Thomas M. Brown, Alex Drlica-Wagner +10
We present deep Hubble Space Telescope (HST) photometry of the ultra-faint dwarf galaxy Eridanus II (Eri II). Eri II, which has an absolute magnitude of M_V = -7.1, is located at a…
Radio light curves and imaging of the helium nova V445 Puppis reveal seven years of synchrotron emission
M. M. Nyamai, L. Chomiuk, V. A. R. M. Ribeiro +3
V445 Puppis is the only helium nova observed to date; its eruption in late 2000 showed high velocities up to 8500 km/s and a remarkable bipolar morphology cinched by an equatorial…
Fermi-LAT Observations of V549 Vel 2017: a Sub-Luminous Gamma-Ray Nova?
Kwan-Lok Li, Franz-Josef Hambsch, Ulisse Munari +4
We report on the Fermi-LAT detection (with ~5.7 sigma significance) as well as the multi-wavelength analysis of the 2017 nova eruption V549 Vel. Unlike the recent shock-powered nov…
