Physics of Strong Magnetism with eXTP
Mingyu Ge, Long Ji, Roberto Taverna +47
In this paper we present the science potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission, in its new configuration, for studies of strongly magnetized compact obj…
Prospects for Time-Domain and Multi-Messenger Science with eXTP
Shu-Xu Yi, Wen Zhao, Ren-Xin Xu +75
In this new era of time-domain and multi-messenger astronomy, various new transients and new phenomena are constantly being discovered thanks to the rapid advances in observations,…
Probing the Strong Gravity Region of Black Holes with eXTP
Qingcui Bu, Cosimo Bambi, Lijun Gou +42
We present the novel capabilities of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission to study the strong gravity region around stellar-mass black holes in X-ray binary sys…
Dense Matter in Neutron Stars with eXTP
Ang Li, Anna L. Watts, Guobao Zhang +82
In this White Paper, we present the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission to constrain the equation of state of dense matter in neutron stars, explo…
Science objectives of the Einstein Probe mission
Weimin Yuan, Lixin Dai, Hua Feng +93
The Einstein Probe (EP) is an interdisciplinary mission of time-domain and X-ray astronomy. Equipped with a wide-field lobster-eye X-ray focusing imager, EP will discover cosmic X-…
