Characterization of the Spontaneous Light Emission of the PMTs used in the Double Chooz Experiment
Double Chooz collaboration, Y. Abe, T. Abrahão +146
During the commissioning of the first of the two detectors of the Double Chooz experiment, an unexpected and dominant background caused by the emission of light inside the optical…
Ortho-positronium observation in the Double Chooz Experiment
Y. Abe, J. C. dos Anjos, J. C. Barriere +143
The Double Chooz experiment measures the neutrino mixing angle by detecting reactor via inverse beta decay. The positron-neutron space and time coincidence allow…
Precision Muon Reconstruction in Double Chooz
Double Chooz collaboration, Y. Abe, J. C. dos Anjos +141
We describe a muon track reconstruction algorithm for the reactor anti-neutrino experiment Double Chooz. The Double Chooz detector consists of two optically isolated volumes of liq…
Characterization of the Hamamatsu R11780 12 inch Photomultiplier Tube
J. Brack, B. Delgado, J. Dhooghe +11
Future large water Cherenkov and scintillator detectors have been proposed for measurements of long baseline neutrino oscillations, proton decay, supernova and solar neutrinos. To…
