Accelerating Universes and String Theory

Abstract

This article reviews recent developments in the study of universes with a positive cosmological constant in string theory.

Review based on lectures given at the PIMS Summer School, Vancouver, 2003 and the RTN Network school, Copenhagen, 2003. (1) v2: Many added references.
