Synchrotron radiation in -ray burst prompt emission

arXiv:2002.09638 · doi:10.1038/s41550-020-1041-3

Abstract

Growing evidence suggests that synchrotron radiation plays a significant role in shaping the spectra of most -ray bursts. The relativistic jets producing them likely carry a significant fraction of energy in the form of a Poynting flux.
