Channel Extrapolation in FDD Massive MIMO: Theoretical Analysis and Numerical Validation
François Rottenberg, Rui Wang, Jianzhong Zhang +1
Downlink channel estimation in massive MIMO systems is well known to generate a large overhead in frequency division duplex (FDD) mode as the amount of training generally scales wi…
Supervised ML Solution for Band Assignment in Dual-Band Systems with Omnidirectional and Directional Antennas
Daoud Burghal, Rui Wang, Abdullah Alghafis +1
Many wireless networks, including 5G NR (New Radio) and future beyond 5G cellular systems, are expected to operate on multiple frequency bands. This paper considers the band assign…
Enable Super-resolution Parameter Estimation for Mm-wave Channel Sounding
Rui Wang, C. Umit Bas, Zihang Cheng +14
This paper investigates the capability of millimeter-wave (mmWave) channel sounders with phased arrays to perform super-resolution parameter estimation, i.e., determine the paramet…
