Band Assignment in Dual Band Systems: A Learning-based Approach
Daoud Burghal, Rui Wang, Andreas F. Molisch
We consider the band assignment problem in dual band systems, where the base-station (BS) chooses one of the two available frequency bands (centimeter-wave and millimeter-wave band…
Real-Time Millimeter-Wave MIMO Channel Sounder for Dynamic Directional Measurements
C. Umit Bas, Rui Wang, Seun Sangodoyin +6
In this paper, we present a novel real-time multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel sounder for the 28 GHz band. Until now, most investigations of the directional characteris…
On channel sounding with switched arrays in fast time-varying channels
Rui Wang, Olivier Renaudin, C. Umit Bas +2
Time-division multiplexed (TDM) channel sounders, in which a single RF chain is connected sequentially via an electronic switch to different elements of an array, are widely used f…
Antenna Switching Sequence Design for Channel Sounding in a Fast Time-varying Channel
Rui Wang, Olivier Renaudin, C. Umit Bas +2
This paper investigates the impact of array switching patterns on the accuracy of parameter estimation of multipath components for a time division multiplexed (TDM) channel sounder…
