Measuring ultrafast time-bin qudits
Frédéric Bouchard, Kent Bonsma-Fisher, Khabat Heshami +3
Time-bin qudits have emerged as a promising encoding platform in many quantum photonic applications. However, the requirement for efficient single-shot measurement of time-bin qudi…
High-dimensional Encoding in the Round-Robin Differential-Phase-Shift Protocol
Mikka Stasiuk, Felix Hufnagel, Xiaoqin Gao +4
In quantum key distribution (QKD), protocols are tailored to adopt desirable experimental attributes, including high key rates, operation in high noise levels, and practical securi…
Sensing rotations with multiplane light conversion
M. Eriksson, A. Z. Goldberg, M. Hiekkamäki +4
We report an experiment estimating the three parameters of a general rotation. The scheme uses quantum states attaining the ultimate precision dictated by the quantum Cramér-Rao bo…
Intensity interferometry for holography with quantum and classical light
G. S. Thekkadath, D. England, F. Bouchard +3
As first demonstrated by Hanbury Brown and Twiss, it is possible to observe interference between independent light sources by measuring correlations in their intensities rather tha…
