Hyperpolarized Long-T1 Silicon Nanoparticles for Magnetic Resonance Imaging
J. W. Aptekar, M. C. Cassidy, A. C. Johnson +14
Silicon nanoparticles are experimentally investigated as a potential hyperpolarized, targetable MRI imaging agent. Nuclear T_1 times at room temperature for a variety of Si nanopar…
Noninvasive measurements of gas exchange in a three-dimensional fluidized bed using hyperpolarized 129Xe NMR
Tina Pavlin, Ruopeng Wang, Ryan McGorty +5
We present a novel NMR technique that provides a non-invasive, direct measurement of gas exchange in a three-dimensional gas-fluidized bed of solid particles. The NMR spectrum of h…
Xenon NMR Measurements of Permeability and Tortuosity in Reservoir Rocks
R. Wang, T. Pavlin, M. S. Rosen +3
In this work we present measurements of permeability, effective porosity and tortuosity on a variety of rock samples using NMR/MRI of thermal and laser-polarized gas. Permeability…
Study of Gas-Fluidization Dynamics with Laser-Polarized 129Xe
R. Wang, M. S. Rosen, D. Candela +2
We report initial NMR studies of gas dynamics in a particle bed fluidized by laser-polarized xenon (129Xe) gas. We have made preliminary measurements of two important characteristi…
