Processing of hydrocarbon dust in star-forming galaxies revealed with AKARI
Tsubasa Kondo, Akino Kondo, Katsuhiro L. Murata +5
Hydrocarbon dust is one of the dominant components of interstellar dust, which mainly consists of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and aliphatic hydrocarbons. While hydrocarbon dus…
Dust properties in the cold and hot gas phases of the ATLAS3D early-type galaxies as revealed by AKARI
T. Kokusho, H. Kaneda, M. Bureau +6
The properties of the dust in the cold and hot gas phases of early-type galaxies (ETGs) are key to understand ETG evolution. We thus conducted a systematic study of the dust in a l…
A star formation study of the ATLAS3D early-type galaxies with the AKARI all-sky survey
Takuma Kokusho, Hidehiro Kaneda, Martin Bureau +4
The star formation properties of early-type galaxies (ETGs) are currently the subject of considerable interest, particularly whether they differ from those of gas-rich spirals. We…
Mid- and far-infrared properties of Spitzer Galactic bubbles revealed by the AKARI all-sky surveys
Yasuki Hattori, Hidehiro Kaneda, Daisuke Ishihara +9
We have carried out a statistical study on the mid- and far-infrared (IR) properties of Galactic IR bubbles observed by Spitzer. Using the Spitzer 8 images, we estimated…
