Scalable randomized benchmarking of non-Clifford gates
Andrew W. Cross, Easwar Magesan, Lev S. Bishop +2
Randomized benchmarking is a widely used experimental technique to characterize the average error of quantum operations. Benchmarking procedures that scale to enable characterizati…
Characterizing a Four-Qubit Planar Lattice for Arbitrary Error Detection
Jerry M. Chow, Srikanth J. Srinivasan, Easwar Magesan +4
Quantum error correction will be a necessary component towards realizing scalable quantum computers with physical qubits. Theoretically, it is possible to perform arbitrarily long…
Characterizing errors on qubit operations via iterative randomized benchmarking
Sarah Sheldon, Lev S. Bishop, Easwar Magesan +3
With improved gate calibrations reducing unitary errors, we achieve a benchmarked single-qubit gate fidelity of 99.95% with superconducting qubits in a circuit quantum electrodynam…
Reducing Spontaneous Emission in Circuit Quantum Electrodynamics by a Combined Readout/Filter Technique
Nicholas T. Bronn, Easwar Magesan, Nicholas A. Masluk +3
Physical implementations of qubits can be extremely sensitive to environmental coupling, which can result in decoherence. While efforts are made for protection, coupling to the env…
