Einstein Probe Discovery of EP J182730.0-095633: A New Black Hole X-ray Binary Candidate in Faint Outburst?
Huaqing Cheng, Qingchang Zhao, L. Tao +77
Black hole X-ray binaries (candidates) currently identified in our galaxy are mainly transient sources, with the majority discovered through the detection of their X-ray outbursts.…
Insight-HXMT observations on thermonuclear X-ray bursts from 4U~1608--52 in the low/hard state: the energy-dependant hard X-ray deficit and cooling saturation of the corona
Y. P. Chen, S. Zhang, L. Ji +9
During thermonuclear bursts, it is suspected that {\bf the cooling of the corona by the burst emission} may be the cause of hard X-ray {\bf deficits}. Although this {\bf deficit} h…
Intermittent QPO properties of MAXI J1820+070 revealed by Insight-HXMT
P. Zhang, R. Soria, S. Zhang +18
We investigate the dynamical properties of low frequency quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) observed from the black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1820+070 during the early part of its 20…
Observatory science with eXTP
Jean J. M. in 't Zand, Enrico Bozzo, Jinlu Qu +181
In this White Paper we present the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry (eXTP) mission for studies related to Observatory Science targets. These include flaring s…
