Experimental demonstration of the short bunch extraction by bunch rotation in a high-intensity rapid cycling proton synchrotron
Linhao Zhang, Yukai Chen, Jingyu Tang +3
Short bunch proton beams are of great significance for the applications of white neutron beams and muon beams. The accelerator complex of China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) was…
Simulation studies for upgrading a high-intensity surface muon beamline at Paul Scherrer Institute
Lu-Ping Zhou, Xiao-Jie Ni, Zaher Salman +4
The E4-LEM beamline at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI, Switzerland) is a special muon beamline combining the hyprid type surface muon beamline E4 with the low energy muon facil…
Problem and solution with the longitudinal tracking of the ORBIT code
Linhao Zhang, JIngyu Tang, Yukai Chen
The ORBIT code has been widely used for beam dynamics simulations including injection and acceleration in high-intensity hadron synchrotrons. When the ORBIT's 1D longitudinal track…
Study on multi-fold bunch splitting in a high-intensity medium-energy proton synchrotron
Linhao Zhang, Min Chen, Jingyu Tang
Bunch splitting is an RF manipulation method of changing the bunch structure, bunch numbers and bunch intensity in the high-intensity synchrotrons that serve as the injector for a…
