Stability and approximation of random invariant densities for Lasota-Yorke map cocycles
Gary Froyland, Cecilia González-Tokman, Anthony Quas
We establish stability of random absolutely continuous invariant measures (acims) for cocycles of random Lasota-Yorke maps under a variety of perturbations. Our family of random ma…
An analytic framework for identifying finite-time coherent sets in time-dependent dynamical systems
Gary Froyland
The study of transport and mixing processes in dynamical systems is particularly important for the analysis of mathematical models of physical systems. Barriers to transport, which…
Computing covariant vectors, Lyapunov vectors, Oseledets vectors, and dichotomy projectors: a comparative numerical study
Gary Froyland, Thorsten Hüls, Gary P. Morriss +1
Covariant vectors, Lyapunov vectors, or Oseledets vectors are increasingly being used for a variety of model analyses in areas such as partial differential equations, nonautonomous…
Ulam's method for Lasota-Yorke maps with holes
Christopher Bose, Gary Froyland, Cecilia González-Tokman +1
Ulam's method is a rigorous numerical scheme for approximating invariant densities of dynamical systems. The phase space is partitioned into connected sets and an inter-set transit…
