Aliased noise characterization and mitigation in BICEP Array 150, 220 and 270 GHz time-division multiplexed detectors
S. Fatigoni, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +83
Early observations with the BICEP Array 150 GHz (BA2-150) and 220/270 GHz (BA3-220/270) receivers revealed detector noise equivalent temperatures (NETs) higher than expected, toget…
Strong Negative Electrothermal Feedback in Thermal Kinetic Inductance Detectors
Shubh Agrawal, Bryan Steinbach, James J. Bock +6
We demonstrate strong negative electrothermal feedback accelerating and linearizing the response of a thermal kinetic inductance detector (TKID). TKIDs are a proposed highly multip…
Thermal Kinetic Inductance Detectors for millimeter-wave detection
Albert Wandui, Jamie Bock, Clifford Frez +7
Thermal Kinetic Inductance Detectors (TKIDs) combine the excellent noise performance of traditional bolometers with a radio frequency multiplexing architecture that enables the lar…
Characterization and Improvement of the Thermal Stability of TES Bolometers
Rita Sonka, James J. Bock, Krikor G. Megerian +3
We study the mechanism of instability in transition edge sensor (TES) bolometers used for ground based observations of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) at 270GHz. The instabil…
