Characterization of the BOLDPET optical prototype, an innovative Cherenkov detector for 511 keV radiation
Roman Chyzh, Gerard Tauzin, Dominique Yvon +6
In the present work we describe the design, construction, and testing of the optical prototype developed for the BOLDPET project, with the objective of creating a PET detection mod…
Fast and Efficient Detection of 511 keV Photons using Cherenkov Light in PbF Crystal coupled to a MCP-PMT and SAMPIC Digitization Module
C. Canot, M. Alokhina, P. Abbon +7
We study the possibility to use the Cherenkov light for the efficient detection of 511 keV photons with the goal to use it in TOF-PET. We designed and tested two detection modules…
Ionization parameters of Trimethylbismuth for high-energy photon detection
M. Farradèche, G. Tauzin, J-Ph. Mols +6
CaLIPSO is an innovative photon detector concept designed for high precision brain PET imaging. For the first time, liquid trimethylbismuth is used as sensitive medium. The detecto…
Free ion yield of Trimethyl Bismuth used as sensitive medium for high-energy photon detection
M. Farradèche, G. Tauzin, J-Ph. Mols +7
The CaLIPSO project is an innovative high-energy photon detector concept using trimethylbismuth as sensitive medium in a liquid ionization chamber. The detector, designed for high…
