Chandra X-Ray Spectroscopy of the Focused Wind in the Cygnus X-1 System. II. The Nondip Spectrum in the Low/Hard State - Modulations with Orbital Phase
Ivica Miškovičová, Natalie Hell, Manfred Hanke +14
The accretion onto the black hole in the system HDE 226868/Cygnus X-1 is powered by the strong line driven stellar wind of the O-type donor star. We study the X-ray properties of t…
Revealing the broad iron Kalpha line in Cygnus X-1 through simultaneous XMM-Newton, RXTE, and INTEGRAL observations
Refiz Duro, Thomas Dauser, Victoria Grinberg +15
We report on the analysis of the broad Fe Kalpha line feature of Cygnus X-1 in the spectra of four simultaneous hard intermediate state observations made with the X-ray Multiple Mi…
Testing reflection features in 4U 1705-44 with XMM-Newton, BeppoSAX and RXTE in the hard and soft state
E. Egron, T. Di Salvo, S. Motta +10
We use data of the bright atoll source 4U 1705-44 taken with XMM-Newton, BeppoSAX and RXTE both in the hard and in the soft state to perform a self-consistent study of the reflecti…
A Suzaku Observation of Mkn 590 Reveals a Vanishing Soft Excess
Elizabeth Rivers, Alex Markowitz, Refiz Duro +1
We have analyzed a long-look Suzaku observation of the Seyfert 1.2 Mkn~590. We aimed to measure the Compton reflection strength, Fe K complex properties and soft excess emission as…
