A solid-state temporally multiplexed quantum memory array at the single-photon level
Markus Teller, Susana Plascencia, Cristina Sastre Jachimska +2
The exploitation of multimodality in different degrees of freedom is one of the most promising ways to increase the rate of heralded entanglement between distant quantum nodes. In…
Collective vacuum-Rabi splitting with an atomic spin wave coupled to a cavity mode
Félix Hoffet, Alexey Vylegzhanin, Emanuele Distante +3
A promising platform for quantum information research relies on cavity coupled atomic spin-waves, enabling efficient operations such as quantum memories, quantum light generation a…
Uniting Quantum Processing Nodes of Cavity-coupled Ions with Rare-earth Quantum Repeaters Using Single-photon Pulse Shaping Based on Atomic Frequency Comb
P. Cussenot, B. Grivet, B. P. Lanyon +4
We present an architecture for remotely connecting cavity-coupled trapped ions via a quantum repeater based on rare-earth-doped crystals. The main challenge for its realization lie…
Heralded entanglement of on-demand spin-wave solid-state quantum memories for multiplexed quantum network links
Jonathan Hänni, Alberto E. Rodríguez-Moldes, Félicien Appas +5
The ability to distribute heralded entanglement between distant matter nodes is a primitive for the implementation of large-scale quantum networks. Some of the most crucial require…
