A Compact Cluster of Massive Red Galaxies at a Redshift of 1.51
P. J. McCarthy, H. Yan, R. G. Abraham +15
We describe a compact cluster of massive red galaxies at z=1.51 discovered in one of the Gemini Deep Deep Survey (GDDS) fields. Deep imaging with the Near Infrared Camera and Multi…
The Gemini Deep Deep Survey. VII. The Redshift Evolution of the Mass-Metallicity Relation
S. Savaglio, K. Glazebrook, D. Le Borgne +10
We have investigated the mass-metallicity (M-Z) relation using galaxies at 0.4<z<1.0 from the Gemini Deep Deep Survey and Canada-France Redshift Survey. Deep K and z' band photomet…
The Gemini Deep Deep Survey: II. Metals in Star-Forming Galaxies at Redshift 1.3<z<2
S. Savaglio, K. Glazebrook, R. G. Abraham +9
The goal of the Gemini Deep Deep Survey (GDDS) is to study an unbiased sample of K<20.6 galaxies in the redshift range 0.8<z<2.0. Here we determine the statistical properties of th…
Spectroscopy of Low Surface Brightness Galaxies with the Hobby-Eberly Telescope
Marcel Bergmann, Inger Jorgensen, Gary J. Hill
We have obtained low resolution spectra of nineteen red and blue low surface brightness galaxies, using the Marcario Low Resolution Spectrograph on the 9.2m Hobby-Eberly Telescope.…
