Spatially Resolved Stellar Populations of Eight GOODS-South AGN at z~1
S. Mark Ammons, Jason Melbourne, Claire E. Max +2
We present a pilot study of the stellar populations of 8 AGN hosts at z~1 and compare to (1) lower redshift samples and (2) a sample of nonactive galaxies of similar redshift. We u…
Ubiquitous outflows in DEEP2 spectra of star-forming galaxies at z=1.4
Benjamin J. Weiner, Alison L. Coil, Jason X. Prochaska +10
Galactic winds are a prime suspect for the metal enrichment of the intergalactic medium and may have a strong influence on the chemical evolution of galaxies and the nature of QSO…
A Survey of Galaxy Kinematics to z ~ 1 in the TKRS/GOODS-N Field. I. Rotation and Dispersion Properties
Benjamin J. Weiner, Christopher N. A. Willmer, S. M. Faber +7
We present kinematic measurements of a large sample of galaxies from the TKRS Survey in the GOODS-N field. We measure line-of-sight velocity dispersions from integrated emission fo…
The DEEP2 Galaxy Redshift Survey: Clustering of Galaxies in Early Data
Alison L. Coil, Marc Davis, Darren S. Madgwick +14
We measure the two-point correlation function xi(r) using a sample of 2219 galaxies in an area of 0.32 degrees^2 at z=0.7-1.35 from the first season of the DEEP2 Galaxy Redshift Su…
