Tritium calibration of the LUX dark matter experiment
LUX Collaboration, D. S. Akerib, H. M. Araújo +98
We present measurements of the electron-recoil (ER) response of the LUX dark matter detector based upon 170,000 highly pure and spatially-uniform tritium decays. We reconstruct the…
FPGA-based Trigger System for the LUX Dark Matter Experiment
D. S. Akerib, H. M. Araujo, X. Bai +100
LUX is a two-phase (liquid/gas) xenon time projection chamber designed to detect nuclear recoils resulting from interactions with dark matter particles. Signals from the detector a…
LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) Conceptual Design Report
The LZ Collaboration, D. S. Akerib, C. W. Akerlof +192
The design and performance of the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) detector is described as of March 2015 in this Conceptual Design Report. LZ is a second-generation dark-matter detector with the p…
Measurements of wavelength-dependent double photoelectron emission from single photons in VUV-sensitive photomultiplier tubes
C. H. Faham, V. M. Gehman, A. Currie +3
Measurements of double photoelectron emission (DPE) probabilities as a function of wavelength are reported for Hamamatsu R8778, R8520, and R11410 VUV-sensitive photomultiplier tube…
