Frequency evaluation of the doubly forbidden transition in bosonic Yb
N. Poli, Z. W. Barber, N. D. Lemke +11
We report an uncertainty evaluation of an optical lattice clock based on the transition in the bosonic isotope Yb by use of magnetically induced…
Astronomical spectrograph calibration with broad-spectrum frequency combs
D. A. Braje, M. S. Kirchner, S. Osterman +2
Broadband femtosecond-laser frequency combs are filtered to spectrographically resolvable frequency-mode spacing, and the limitations of using cavities for spectral filtering are c…
Optical Lattice Induced Light Shifts in an Yb Atomic Clock
Z. W. Barber, J. E. Stalnaker, N. D. Lemke +6
We present an experimental study of the lattice induced light shifts on the 1S_0-3P_0 optical clock transition (v_clock~518 THz) in neutral ytterbium. The ``magic'' frequency, v_ma…
Sr lattice clock at 1x10^{-16} fractional uncertainty by remote optical evaluation with a Ca clock
A. D. Ludlow, T. Zelevinsky, G. K. Campbell +16
Optical atomic clocks promise timekeeping at the highest precision and accuracy, owing to their high operating frequencies. Rigorous evaluations of these clocks require direct comp…
