Enriching the Felsenthal index with a priori unions for decision-making processes
Alicia Mascareñas-Pazos, Silvia Lorenzo-Freire, Jose Maria Alonso-Meijide
Within the domain of game theory, power indexes are defined as functions that quantify the influence of individual participants in collective decision-making processes. Felsenthal…
An application of power indices for the family of weighted majority games in partition function form
José M. Alonso-Meijide, Livino M. Armijos-Toro, Balbina V. Casas-Méndez +1
Based on Holler (1982) and Armijos-Toro et al. (2021) we propose two power indices to measure the influence of the players in the class of weighted majority games in partition func…
Mergeable weighted majority games and characterizations of some power indices
Livino M. Armijos-Toro, José M. Alonso-Meijide, Manuel A. Mosquera
In this paper, we introduce a notion of mergeable weighted majority games with the aim of providing the first characterization of the Colomer-Martínez power index (Colomer and Mart…
New results on egalitarian values for games with a priori unions
J. C. Gonçalves-Dosantos, J. M. Alonso-Meijide
Several extensions of the equal division value and the equal surplus division value to the family of games with a priori unions are proposed in Alonso-Meijide et al. (2020) ``On eg…
Necessary players and values
J. C. Gonçalves-Dosantos, I. García-Jurado, J. Costa +1
In this paper we introduce the value, a new value for cooperative games with transferable utility. We also provide an axiomatic characterization of the value based on a pro…
On egalitarian values for cooperative games with a priori unions
J. M. Alonso-Meijide, J. Costa, I. García-Jurado +1
In this paper we extend the equal division and the equal surplus division values for transferable utility cooperative games to the more general setup of transferable utility cooper…
