High-level hadronic tau lepton triggers of the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at = 13.6 TeV
CMS Collaboration
The trigger system of the CMS detector is pivotal in the acquisition of data for physics measurements and searches. Studies of final states characterized by hadronic decays of tau…
Full event interpretation with machine-learning-based particle-flow reconstruction in the CMS detector
CMS Collaboration
The particle-flow (PF) algorithm constructs a global description of each particle collision by producing a comprehensive list of final-state particles, and is central to event reco…
Performance of the CMS high-level trigger during LHC Run 2
CMS Collaboration
The CERN LHC provided proton and heavy ion collisions during its Run 2 operation period from 2015 to 2018. Proton-proton collisions reached a peak instantaneous luminosity of 2.1 $…
Dose rate effects in the radiation damage of the plastic scintillators of the CMS Hadron Endcap Calorimeter
HCAL collaboration
We present measurements of the reduction of light output by plastic scintillators irradiated in the CMS detector during the 8 TeV run of the Large Hadron Collider and show that the…
