Simons formulas in complex space forms and product spaces

Dorel Fetcu, Stefano Nardulli

We compute Simons type equations for parallel mean curvature submanifolds in complex space forms N^n(c), with constant holomorphic sectional curvature c, and product spaces N^n(c)x…

Biconservative surfaces in $S^{2} \times R$ and $H^{2} \times R$

Dorel Fetcu

We find the explicit local equations of biconservative surfaces with non-constant mean curvature in $S^{2} \times R$ and $H^{2} \times R$ , when the grad…

The rigidity of biconservative surfaces in Sol3

Dorel Fetcu

We consider biconservative surfaces in Sol3, find their local equations, and then show that all biharmonic surfaces in this space are minimal.

Segre embedding and biharmonicity

Hiba Bibi, Dorel Fetcu, Cezar Oniciuc

We consider the Segre embedding of the product $C P^{p} \times C P^{q}$ into $C P^{p + q + pq}$ and study the biharmonicity of $M^{p} \times C P^{q}$ and $M^p_1\tim…

Simons type formulas for surfaces in Sol_3 and applications

Dorel Fetcu

We compute the Laplacian of the squared norm of the second fundamental form of a surface in Sol_3 and then use this Simons type formula to obtain some gap results for compact const…

PMC Biconservative Surfaces in Complex Space Forms

Hiba Bibi, Bang-Yen Chen, Dorel Fetcu +1

In this article we consider PMC surfaces in complex space forms, and we study the interaction between the notions of PMC, totally real and biconservative. We first consider PMC sur…
