Dynamic Model Identification and Gravity Compensation for the dVRK-Si Patient Side Manipulator
Haoying Zhou, Hao Yang, Brendan Burkhart +6
The da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK) has been widely used for research in robot-assisted surgery over the past decade, and its latest generation, the dVRK-Si was made publicly availabl…
SurgSync: Time-Synchronized Multi-Modal Data Collection Framework and Dataset for Surgical Robotics
Haoying Zhou, Chang Liu, Yimeng Wu +7
Most existing robotic surgery systems adopt a human-in-the-loop paradigm, often with the surgeon directly teleoperating the robotic system. Adding intelligence to these robots woul…
A Hybrid Model and Learning-Based Force Estimation Framework for Surgical Robots
Hao Yang, Haoying Zhou, Gregory S. Fischer +1
Haptic feedback to the surgeon during robotic surgery would enable safer and more immersive surgeries but estimating tissue interaction forces at the tips of robotically controlled…
Suturing Tasks Automation Based on Skills Learned From Demonstrations: A Simulation Study
Haoying Zhou, Yiwei Jiang, Shang Gao +3
In this work, we develop an open-source surgical simulation environment that includes a realistic model obtained by MRI-scanning a physical phantom, for the purpose of training and…
