Hinode Observations of Magnetic Elements in Internetwork Areas
A. G. de Wijn, B. W. Lites, T. E. Berger +3
We use sequences of images and magnetograms from Hinode to study magnetic elements in internetwork parts of the quiet solar photosphere. Visual inspection shows the existence of ma…
Coronal transverse magnetohydrodynamic waves in a solar prominence
T. J. Okamoto, S. Tsuneta, T. E. Berger +10
Solar prominences are cool 10 Kelvin plasma clouds supported in the surrounding 10 Kelvin coronal plasma by as-yet undetermined mechanisms. Observations from \emph{Hinode}…
Flare Ribbons Observed with G-band and FeI 6302A Filters of the Solar Optical Telescope on Board Hinode
H. Isobe, M. Kubo, T. Minoshima +11
The Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) on board Hinode satellite observed an X3.4 class flare on 2006 December 13. Typical two-ribbon structure was observed, not only in the chromospher…
Formation Process of a Light Bridge Revealed with the Hinode Solar Optical Telescope
Y. Katsukawa, T. Yokoyama, T. E. Berger +10
The Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) aboard HINODE successfully and continuously observed a formation process of a light bridge in a matured sunspot of the NOAA active region 10923 fo…
