Tracking optical variability and outflows across the accretion states of the black hole transient MAXI J1820+070
M. C. Baglio, K. Alabarta, D. M. Russell +10
We present a study of the minute-timescale optical variability and spectroscopic outflow signatures in the black hole X-ray binary MAXI J1820+070 during its 2018 outburst and re-br…
Chasing the break: Tracing the full evolution of a black hole X-ray binary jet with multi-wavelength spectral modeling
Constanza Echiburú-Trujillo, Alexandra J. Tetarenko, Daryl Haggard +35
Black hole X-ray binaries (BH XRBs) are ideal targets to study the connection between accretion inflow and jet outflow. Here we present quasi-simultaneous, multi-wavelength observa…
The ASAS-SN Bright Supernova Catalog -- V. 2018-2020
K. D. Neumann, T. W. -S. Holoien, C. S. Kochanek +55
We catalog the 443 bright supernovae discovered by the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN) in along with the 519 supernovae recovered by ASAS-SN and 516 a…
Optical precursors to X-ray binary outbursts
David M. Russell, D. M. Bramich, F. Lewis +14
Disc instability models predict that for X-ray binaries in quiescence, there should be a brightening of the optical flux prior to an X-ray outburst. Tracking the X-ray variations o…
