Experiences of Commercial Supercomputing in Radio Astronomy Data Processing
Ian Kemp, Steven J Tingay, Stuart Midgley +1
The ongoing exponential growth of computational power, and the growth of the commercial High Performance Computing (HPC) industry, has led to a point where ten commercial systems c…
Processing of GASKAP-HI pilot survey data using a commercial supercomputer
Ian P. Kemp, Nickolas M. Pingel, Rowan Worth +15
Modern radio telescopes generate large amounts of data, with the next generation Very Large Array (ngVLA) and the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) expected to feed up to 292 GB of visi…
An image-based blind search for Fast Radio Bursts in 88 hours of data from the EoR0 Field, with the Murchison Widefield Array
Ian Kemp, Steven Tingay, Stuart Midgley +1
This work is part of ongoing efforts to detect Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) in a spectral window below 300 MHz. We used an image-based method…
Improving the Epoch of Reionization Power Spectrum Results from Murchison Widefield Array Season 1 Observations
N. Barry, M. Wilensky, C. M. Trott +27
Measurements of 21 cm Epoch of Reionization (EoR) structure are subject to systematics originating from both the analysis and the observation conditions. Using 2013 data from the M…
