DESHIMA 2.0: development of an integrated superconducting spectrometer for science-grade astronomical observations
Akio Taniguchi, Tom J. L. C. Bakx, Jochem J. A. Baselmans +32
Integrated superconducting spectrometer (ISS) technology will enable ultra-wideband, integral-field spectroscopy for (sub)millimeter-wave astronomy, in particular, for uncovering t…
DESHIMA on ASTE: On-sky Responsivity Calibration of the Integrated Superconducting Spectrometer
Tatsuya Takekoshi, Kenichi Karatsu, Junya Suzuki +36
We are developing an ultra-wideband spectroscopic instrument, DESHIMA (DEep Spectroscopic HIgh-redshift MApper), based on the technologies of an on-chip filter-bank and Microwave K…
A new off-point-less observing method for millimeter and submillimeter spectroscopy with a frequency-modulating local oscillator (FMLO)
Akio Taniguchi, Yoichi Tamura, Kotaro Kohno +6
We propose a new observing method for single-dish millimeter and submillimeter spectroscopy using a heterodyne receiver equipped with a frequency-modulating local oscillator (FMLO)…
First light demonstration of the integrated superconducting spectrometer
Akira Endo, Kenichi Karatsu, Yoichi Tamura +36
Ultra-wideband 3D imaging spectrometry in the millimeter-submillimeter (mm-submm) band is an essential tool for uncovering the dust-enshrouded portion of the cosmic history of star…
