A sublinear bound for the regularity of subspace arrangements
Xin Hong, Yi-Song Huang, Manolis Tsakiris
Let be the union of generic linear spaces in $\PP^n$ of codimension at least . We prove that the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the vanishing ideal of grows in or…
The Determinantal Matroid
Lisa Nicklasson, Manolis C. Tsakiris
We study the algebraic matroid induced by the ideal of (r+1)-minors of a matrix of variables over a field. This is inherently connected to the bounded-rank matrix completion proble…
On the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of subspace arrangements
Aldo Conca, Manolis C. Tsakiris
Let be the union of generic linear subspaces of codimension in . Improving an earlier bound due to Derksen and Sidman, we prove that the Castelnuovo-Mumf…
A Field-Theoretic View of Unlabeled Sensing
Hao Liang, Jingyu Lu, Manolis C. Tsakiris +1
Unlabeled sensing is the problem of solving a linear system of equations, where the right-hand-side vector is known only up to a permutation. In this work, we study fields of ratio…
Resolution of ideals associated to subspace arrangements
Aldo Conca, Manolis C. Tsakiris
Let be ideals generated by linear forms in a polynomial ring over an infinite field and let . We describe a minimal free resolution of and s…
