Photonic quantum state transfer between a cold atomic gas and a crystal
Nicolas Maring, Pau Farrera, Kutlu Kutluer +3
Interfacing fundamentally different quantum systems is key to build future hybrid quantum networks. Such heterogeneous networks offer superior capabilities compared to their homoge…
Challenging local realism with human choices
The BIG Bell Test Collaboration, C. Abellán, A. Acín +105
A Bell test is a randomized trial that compares experimental observations against the philosophical worldview of local realism. A Bell test requires spatially distributed entanglem…
Storing single photons emitted by a quantum memory on a highly excited Rydberg state
Emanuele Distante, Pau Farrera, Auxiliadora Padrón-Brito +3
Strong interaction between two single photons is a long standing and important goal in quantum photonics. This would enable a new regime of nonlinear optics and unlock several appl…
Quantum frequency conversion of memory-compatible single photons from 606 nm to the telecom C-band
Nicolas Maring, Dario Lago-Rivera, Andreas Lenhard +2
We report on quantum frequency conversion of memory-compatible narrow-bandwidth photons at 606 nm to the telecom C-band at 1552nm. The 200ns long photons, compatible with P…
