Heterotic instantons and solitons in anomaly-free supergravity

Abstract

We extend the classical heterotic instanton solutions to all orders in ${\alpha }^{\prime }$ using the equations of anomaly-free supergravity, and discuss the relation between these equations and the string theory $\beta$-functions.
