Magnetic transition in the Kagomé system SmSbZnO

arXiv:2202.02785 · doi:10.1016/j.jmmm.2022.169145

Abstract

We present a study of SmSbZnO (SSZO) through magnetization and specific heat capacity measurements. SSZO contains well separated planes of Sm magnetic ions on a Kagomé lattice. Though our magnetic susceptibility (where the data are limited down to 2\,K) does not show any anomaly, the data which have been taken down to 0.35 K reveal a broad maximum at \,K followed by a sharp peak at \,K indicative of short-range correlations and long-range order, respectively.
