Onset of $\hat{I}\cdot$ nuclear binding

Abstract

Recent studies of $\hat{I}\cdot$ nuclear quasibound states by the Jerusalem-Prague Collaboration are reviewed, focusing on stochastic variational method self consistent calculations of $\hat{I}\cdot$ few-nucleon systems. These calculations suggest that a minimum value Re$a_{\hat{I}\cdot N}\approx 1$ fm (0.7 fm) is needed to bind $\hat{I}\cdot {}^3$He ($\hat{I}\cdot {}^4$He).
