Abstract

We studied temperature and magnetic field dependence of magnetization, and , on thiospinel FeCrS. We observed a step-like anomaly at 9 K for () attributed to an orbital order transition in magnetic field 0 7 T. Furthermore, also for (), an step-like anomaly appears at 5.5 T below . This suggests an existence of a magnetic phase boundary at in . Because the anomaly at of exists in the orbital ordered phase, the spin structure of FeCrS in is strongly coupled with the lattice of the system.
