Amplification and Detection of Single Itinerant Microwave Photons
Lukas Danner, Max Hofheinz, Nicolas Bourlet +3
Single-photon detectors are an essential part of the toolbox of modern quantum optics for implementing quantum technologies and enabling tests of fundamental physics. The low energ…
The Frenkel line and the pseudogap: an analogy between classical and electronic fluids
J. Fournier, P. -O. Downey, O. Gingras +3
Asymptotically close to critical end-points of first-order transitions, maxima in thermodynamic quantities occur along a line called the Widom line, a concept first introduced in c…
Non-perturbative switching rates in bistable open quantum systems: from driven Kerr oscillators to dissipative cat qubits
Léon Carde, Ronan Gautier, Nicolas Didier +3
In this work, we use path integral techniques to predict the switching rate in a single-mode bistable open quantum system. While analytical expressions are well-known to be accessi…
Tensor networks for quantum computing
Aleksandr Berezutskii, Minzhao Liu, Atithi Acharya +25
In the rapidly evolving field of quantum computing, tensor networks serve as an important tool due to their multifaceted utility. In this paper, we review the diverse applications…
