ADC Bit Allocation under a Power Constraint for MmWave Massive MIMO Communication Receivers
Jinseok Choi, Brian L. Evans, Alan Gatherer
Millimeter wave (mmWave) systems operating over a wide bandwidth and using a large number of antennas impose a heavy burden on power consumption. In a massive multiple-input multip…
Optimizing Content Caching to Maximize the Density of Successful Receptions in Device-to-Device Networking
Derya Malak, Mazin Al-Shalash, Jeffrey G. Andrews
Device-to-device (D2D) communication is a promising approach to optimize the utilization of air interface resources in 5G networks, since it allows decentralized opportunistic shor…
Optimizing The Spatial Content Caching Distribution for Device-to-Device Communications
Derya Malak, Mazin Al-Shalash, Jeffrey G. Andrews
We study the optimal geographic content placement problem for device-to-device (D2D) networks in which the content popularity follows the Zipf law. We consider a D2D caching model…
Analysis of a Frequency-Hopping Millimeter-Wave Cellular Uplink
Don Torrieri, Salvatore Talarico, Matthew C. Valenti
Fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks are expected to exhibit at least three primary physical-layer differences relative to fourth-generation ones: millimeter-wave propagation, m…
