Homotopy groups of highly connected manifolds
Samik Basu, Somnath Basu
In this paper we give a formula for the homotopy groups of -connected -manifolds as a direct sum of homotopy groups of spheres in the case the Betti number is l…
Inertia groups of high dimensional complex projective spaces
Samik Basu, Ramesh Kasilingam
For a complex projective space the inertia group, the homotopy inertia group and the concordance inertia group are isomorphic. In complex dimension 4n+1, these groups are related t…
Topology of certain quotient spaces of stiefel manifolds
Samik Basu, B. Subhash
We compute the cohomology of the right generalised projective Stiefel manifolds and use it to find bounds on the rank of the complementary bundle for certain vector bundles. Furthe…
Equivariant maps related to the topological Tverberg conjecture
Samik Basu, Surojit Ghosh
Using equivariant obstruction theory we construct equivariant maps from certain classifying spaces to representation spheres for cyclic groups, product of elementary Abelian groups…
Degrees of Maps between Isotropic Grassmann Manifolds
Samik Basu, Swagata Sarkar
Let denote the space of -dimensional, oriented isotropic subspaces of , called the oriented isotropic Grassmannian. Let $f \colon \wideti…
