Autonomous UAV Base Stations for Next Generation Wireless Networks: A Deep Learning Approach
Ali Murat Demirtas, Mehmet Saygin Seyfioglu, Irem Bor-Yaliniz +2
To address the ever-growing connectivity demands of wireless communications, the adoption of ingenious solutions, such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as mobile Base Stations (B…
Spatial Configuration of Agile Wireless Networks with Drone-BSs and User-in-the-loop
Irem Bor-Yaliniz, Amr El-Keyi, Halim Yanikomeroglu
Agile networking can reduce over-engineering, costs, and energy waste. Towards that end, it is vital to exploit all degrees of freedom of wireless networks efficiently, so that ser…
User Association and Bandwidth Allocation for Terrestrial and Aerial Base Stations with Backhaul Considerations
Elham Kalantari, Irem Bor-Yaliniz, Abbas Yongacoglu +1
Drone base stations (DBSs) can enhance network coverage and area capacity by moving supply towards demand when required. This degree of freedom could be especially useful for futur…
The New Frontier in RAN Heterogeneity: Multi-tier Drone-Cells
Irem Bor-Yaliniz, Halim Yanikomeroglu
In cellular networks, the locations of the radio access network (RAN) elements are determined mainly based on the long-term traffic behaviour. However, when the random and hard-to-…
