Constraining the properties of the potential embedded planets in the disk around HD 100546
Max Ackermann Pyerin, Timmy N. Delage, Nicolás T. Kurtovic +3
Context. The protoplanetary disk around the star HD 100546 displays prominent substructures in the form of two concentric rings. Recent observations with the Atacama Large Millimet…
Gas accretion damped by dust back-reaction at the snow line
Matías Gárate, Til Birnstiel, Joanna Drazkowska +1
Context. The water snowline divides dry and icy solid material in protoplanetary disks, and has been thought to significantly affect planet formation at all stages. If dry particle…
The dimming of RW Auriga. Is dust accretion preceding an outburst?
Matías Gárate, Til Birnstiel, Sebastian Markus Stammler +1
RW Aur A has experienced various dimming events in the last years, decreasing its brightness by for periods of months to years. Multiple observations indicat…
Feedback-limited Accretion: Variable Luminosity from Growing Planets
Matías Gárate, Jorge Cuadra, Matias Montesinos +1
Planets form in discs of gas and dust around stars, and continue to grow by accretion of disc material while available. Massive planets clear a gap in their protoplanetary disc, bu…
