Dorado and its member galaxies II. A UVIT picture of the NGC 1533 substructure
R. Rampazzo, P. Mazzei, A. Marino +8
Dorado is a nearby (17.69 Mpc) strongly evolving galaxy group in the Southern Hemisphere. We are investigating the star formation in this group. This paper provides a FUV imaging o…
A Virgo Environmental Survey Tracing Ionised Gas Emission (VESTIGE).IX. The effects of ram pressure stripping down to the scale of individual HII regions in the dwarf galaxy IC 3476
A. Boselli, A. Lupi, B. Epinat +25
We study the IB(s)m galaxy IC 3476 observed in the context of VESTIGE, a blind narrow-band Halpha+[NII] imaging survey of the Virgo cluster. The deep narrow-band (NB) image reveals…
New Results from the UVIT Survey of the Andromeda Galaxy
D. A. Leahy, J. Postma, M. Buick +3
The Andromeda Galaxy (M31) has been observed with the UltraViolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) instrument onboard the AstroSat Observatory. The M31 sky area was covered with 19 fields,…
Dorado and its member galaxies. Ha imaging of the group backbone
R. Rampazzo, S. Ciroi, P. Mazzei +9
ABRIDGED: Dorado is a nearby, rich and clumpy galaxy group that extends for several degrees in the Southern Hemisphere. For the first time, we map the Ha distribution as a possible…
