A 3D Human Body Blockage Model for Outdoor Millimeter-Wave Cellular Communication
Bin Han, Longbao Wang, Hans D. Schotten
Blocking is one of the most important challenges in exploiting millimeter-wave for fifth-generation (5G) cellular communication systems. Compared to blockages caused by buildings o…
Merging the Bernoulli-Gaussian and Symmetric Alpha-Stable Models for Impulsive Noises in Narrowband Power Line Channels
Bin Han, Yang Lu, Kai Wan +1
To model impulsive noise in power line channels, both the Bernoulli-Gaussian model and the symmetric alpha-stable model are usually applied. Towards a merge of existing noise measu…
A Fast Blind Impulse Detector for Bernoulli-Gaussian Noise in Underspread Channel
Bin Han, Hans D. Schotten
The Bernoulli-Gaussian (BG) model is practical to characterize impulsive noises that widely exist in various communication systems. To estimate the BG model parameters from noise m…
A Profit-Maximizing Strategy of Network Resource Management for 5G Tenant Slices
Bin Han, Di Feng, Lianghai Ji +1
Supported by the emerging technologies of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and network slicing, 5G networks allow tenants to rent resources from mobile network operators (MNOs…
Security Trust Zone in 5G Networks
Bin Han, Stan Wong, Christian Mannweiler +2
Fifth Generation (5G) telecommunication system is going to deliver a flexible radio access network (RAN). Security functions such as authorization, authentication and accounting (A…
Modeling Profit of Sliced 5G Networks for Advanced Network Resource Management and Slice Implementation
Bin Han, Shreya Tayade, Hans D. Schotten
The core innovation in future 5G cellular networksnetwork slicing, aims at providing a flexible and efficient framework of network organization and resource management. The revolut…
