Detecting and characterizing pulsar haloes with the Cherenkov Telescope Array
Christopher Eckner, Veronika Vodeb, Pierrick Martin +2
The recently identified source class of pulsar haloes may be numerous and bright enough in the TeV range to constitute a large fraction of the sources that will be observed with th…
Mind the gap: The discrepancy between simulation and reality drives interpretations of the Galactic Center Excess
Sascha Caron, Christopher Eckner, Luc Hendriks +3
The Galactic Center Excess (GCE) in GeV gamma rays has been debated for over a decade, with the possibility that it might be due to dark matter annihilation or undetected point sou…
How do the dynamics of the Milky Way -- Large Magellanic Cloud system affect gamma-ray constraints on particle dark matter?
Christopher Eckner, Francesca Calore, Denis Erkal +2
Previous studies on astrophysical dark matter (DM) constraints have all assumed that the Milky Way's (MW) DM halo can be modelled in isolation. However, recent work suggests that t…
First constraints on axion-like particles from Galactic sub-PeV gamma rays
Christopher Eckner, Francesca Calore
Experimental refinements and technical innovations in the field of extensive air shower telescopes have enabled measurements of Galactic cosmic-ray interactions in the sub-PeV rang…
