Theoretical Predictions of Colors and Metallicity of the Intra-Cluster Light
E. Contini, S. K. Yi, X. Kang
We study colors and metallicities of the Brightest Cluster Galaxies (BCGs) and Intra-Cluster Light (ICL) in galaxy groups and clusters, as predicted by a semi-analytic model of gal…
YZiCS: Preprocessing of dark halos in the hydrodynamic zoom-in simulation of clusters
San Han, Rory Smith, Hoseung Choi +4
To understand the galaxy population in clusters today, we should also consider the impact of previous environments prior to cluster infall, namely preprocessing. We use YZiCS, a hy…
The different growth pathways of Brightest Cluster Galaxies and the Intra-Cluster Light
E. Contini, S. K. Yi, X. Kang
We study the growth pathways of Brightest Central Galaxies (BCGs) and Intra-Cluster Light (ICL) by means of a semi-analytic model. We assume that the ICL forms by stellar stripping…
An Investigation of intra-cluster light evolution using cosmological hydro-dynamical simulations
Lin Tang, WeiPeng Lin, Weiguang Cui +4
The intra-cluster light (ICL) in observations is usually identified through the surface brightness limit method. In this paper, for the first time we produce the mock images of gal…
