ALMA 400pc Imaging of a z=6.5 Massive Warped Disk Galaxy
Marcel Neeleman, Fabian Walter, Roberto Decarli +4
We present 0.075 (~400 pc) resolution ALMA observations of the [CII] and dust continuum emission from the host galaxy of the z=6.5406 quasar, P036+03. We find that the emission ari…
XQR-30: the ultimate XSHOOTER quasar sample at the reionization epoch
Valentina D'Odorico, E. Banados, G. D. Becker +46
The final phase of the reionization process can be probed by rest-frame UV absorption spectra of quasars at z>6, shedding light on the properties of the diffuse intergalactic mediu…
A SPectroscopic survey of biased halos In the Reionization Era (ASPIRE): JWST Reveals a Filamentary Structure around a z=6.61 Quasar
Feige Wang, Jinyi Yang, Joseph F. Hennawi +56
We present the first results from the JWST ASPIRE program (A SPectroscopic survey of biased halos In the Reionization Era). This program represents an imaging and spectroscopic sur…
A SPectroscopic survey of biased halos In the Reionization Era (ASPIRE): A First Look at the Rest-frame Optical Spectra of Quasars Using JWST
Jinyi Yang, Feige Wang, Xiaohui Fan +53
Studies of rest-frame optical emission in quasars at have historically been limited by the wavelengths accessible by ground-based telescopes. The James Webb Space Telescope (…
