User Coordination for Fast Beam Training in FDD Multi-User Massive MIMO
Flavio Maschietti, Gábor Fodor, David Gesbert +1
Massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) communications are one of the enabling technologies of 5G and beyond networks. While prior work indicates that mMIMO networks employi…
Exploring the Trade-Off between Privacy and Coordination in Millimeter Wave Spectrum Sharing
Flavio Maschietti, Paul de Kerret, David Gesbert
The synergetic gains of spectrum sharing and millimeter wave communication networks have recently attracted attention, owing to the interference canceling benefits of highly-direct…
Coordinated Beam Selection in Millimeter Wave Multi-User MIMO Using Out-of-Band Information
Flavio Maschietti, David Gesbert, Paul de Kerret
Using out-of-band (OOB) side-information has recently been shown to accelerate beam selection in single-user millimeter wave (mmWave) massive MIMO communications. In this paper, we…
Location-Aided Coordinated Analog Precoding for Uplink Multi-User Millimeter Wave Systems
Flavio Maschietti, David Gesbert, Paul de Kerret
Millimeter wave (mmWave) communication is expected to play an important role in next generation cellular networks, aiming to cope with the bandwidth shortage affecting conventional…
