Instrumentation for the Study of Low Emittance Tuning and Beam Dynamics at CESR
M. G. Billing, J. A. Dobbins, M. J. Forster +15
The Cornell Electron-positron Storage Ring (CESR) has been converted from a High Energy Physics electron-positron collider to operate as a dedicated synchrotron light source for th…
An inverse free electron laser acceleration-driven Compton scattering X-ray source
I. Gadjev, N. Sudar, M. Babzien +13
The generation of X-rays and γ-rays based on synchrotron radiation from free electrons, emitted in magnet arrays such as undulators, forms the basis of much of modern X-ray science…
Demonstration of cascaded modulator-chicane micro-bunching of a relativistic electron beam
N. Sudar, P. Musumeci, I. Gadjev +9
We present results of an experiment showing the first successful demonstration of a cascaded micro-bunching scheme. Two modulator-chicane pre-bunchers arranged in series and a high…
Beam Position Monitoring System at CESR
M. G. Billing, W. F. Bergan, M. J. Forster +10
The Cornell Electron-positron Storage Ring (CESR) has been converted from a High Energy Physics electron-positron collider to operate as a dedicated synchrotron light source for th…
