Variable X-ray Absorption toward Gravitationally-Lensed Blazar PKS1830-211
Xinyu Dai, Smita Mathur, George Chartas +2
We present X-ray spectral analysis of five Chandra and XMM-Newton observations of the gravitationally-lensed blazar PKS1830-211 from 2000 to 2004. We show that the X-ray absorption…
The X-ray Properties of the Most-Luminous Quasars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey
D. W. Just, W. N. Brandt, O. Shemmer +4
Utilizing 21 new Chandra observations as well as archival Chandra, ROSAT, and XMM-Newton data, we study the X-ray properties of a representative sample of 59 of the most optically…
Discovery of Probable Relativistic Fe Emission and Absorption in the Cloverleaf Quasar H 1413+117
G. Chartas, M. Eracleous, X. Dai +2
We present results from Chandra and XMM-Newton observations of the low-ionization broad absorption line (LoBAL) quasar H 1413+117. Our spatial and spectral analysis of a recent dee…
XMM-Newton and Chandra Spectroscopy of the Variable High-Energy Absorption of PG 1115+080: Refined Outflow Constraints
G. Chartas, W. N. Brandt, S. C. Gallagher +1
We present results from multi-epoch spectral analysis of XMM-Newton and Chandra observations of the mini broad absorption line (BAL) quasar PG 1115+080. This is one of the few X-ra…
